About this collection
For these full-day masterclasses, please come prepared with your own silk saree and a standard iron box. You will be learning on your own fabric, which is the best way to understand how different textures react to pleating and pinning. We keep the groups intimate so I can walk around and adjust your hands directly, ensuring you get those sharp, fluffy pleats right the first time rather than just watching me demonstrate.
In my full-day sessions, we strip away the intimidation of draping. Whether you are a total beginner who has never held a saree or someone looking to refine your technique for professional bridal work, my approach is consistent: we practice, we fail, we fix, and we succeed. You will learn the science behind the fabric—why some sarees drape better with box folding versus hanger storage, and how the right inskirt choice changes your entire silhouette. We cover traditional South Indian styles, trendy fusion drapes, and the essential 'peacock feather' pleat technique. Since we hold these in my Basaveshwar Nagar studio, you get a dedicated environment free from the distractions of home. I limit my batch sizes to 15-25 students to ensure that every participant—whether you traveled from Mangalore, Mysore, or live right here in Bengaluru—gets the individual attention needed to gain confidence. By the end of the day, you walk out with a completion certificate and the actual skill to drape yourself or others with speed and precision.
