From Sketch to Stitch: My Custom Design Process

Before a single stitch is placed, we start with a 1-on-1 consultation to map out your vision. Whether you have a clear picture or just a feeling, I sketch it out so we can finalize every detail—from the neckline to the train length—before I begin the creation process. You get 2 in-studio trials to ensure the final fit feels completely yours.

My design process is all about transparency and collaboration. Since I handle everything from sketching to the final fit in my Delhi studio, you are involved at every stage.

The Process

1. The Conversation: We begin by discussing your event and your inspiration. I want to understand what makes you feel like yourself.
2. The Sketch: I draw out the design so we are on the same page regarding the silhouette and flow. This is when we decide on fabric choices, whether it is light tulle for a pre-wedding shoot or heavy satin for a cocktail night.
3. The Creation: Each piece is built from scratch. For my Indo-Western fusion sets, I typically need 15 to 20 days. For gowns, I include hard-net can-can layers and built-in corset boning for structure.
4. The Fitting: My custom packages include 2 in-studio trials. This allows us to adjust the ease and length, ensuring the outfit moves with you comfortably.

I focus on mixing modern silhouettes with traditional Indian embroidery. My aim is to create something that feels like a family heirloom rather than a temporary trend.
