This modular outdoor swing from our Lego Collection is designed to be a personal sanctuary. We imagined a piece that could fit perfectly into a garden or balcony, offering a space to unwind as the sun sets. It’s custom-built with durable materials to become a part of your story for years to come.
This is the pièce de résistance of the Aria project. We designed the space around this majestic Totem light installation, creating a focal point that is both a source of light and a piece of sculptural art. The fluted sliding doors open to reveal this dramatic centerpiece.
In this feature with Beautiful Homes, I share my core design philosophy. We believe every piece of furniture should have a purpose, an Ikigai, and that design is about creating harmony between function and beauty, especially in compact homes. It’s about making a house feel like a home.
We believe in the poetry of details. These hand-carved legs for a study desk are a testament to the incredible skill of local artisans we collaborate with. Each groove is meticulously crafted, transforming a simple table into a unique piece of functional sculpture.
For this dining space, we designed a large, monolith-shaped round table to anchor the room. Paired with soft pink chairs and a custom olive green leather chandelier, the entire setting is reflected in an antique mirror wall, creating a sense of depth and luxury.
This master bedroom was designed with a masculine, stark black and white color palette, punctuated by bursts of mud red. The custom black burnt wood four-poster bed creates a strong, central statement, framed by three unique porthole-style artworks.
We designed this sea-facing apartment to be a story of its surroundings. The living room features custom sofas and a sculptural center table, all oriented to embrace the sprawling ocean views. The furniture is minimal yet luxurious, ensuring the focus remains on the horizon.
A swing isn't just for the outdoors. We designed this beautiful rotatable swing for a lounge space, using natural cane and plush cushions. It becomes a cozy, dynamic nook for reading or simply enjoying a quiet moment, adding a touch of playfulness to the interior.
About Featured
Designing for compact homes taught me that less truly is more. In my projects, I replace bulky cupboards with seamless, disguised storage panels and limit the color palette to soft, cohesive tones. This approach does not just clear the visual noise; it physically opens up the floor plan, ensuring your home feels expansive and calm rather than cluttered and confined.
Whether I am designing a sea-facing apartment in Mumbai or a compact city residence, my process remains rooted in storytelling. I believe that furniture should possess an Ikigai—a reason for being that resonates with the inhabitant. I often collaborate with Gujarat-based artisans to hand-carve details into solid wood, ensuring that pieces like dining tables or study desks feel tactile and human-made.
Materials and Craft
I favor natural, honest materials. Burma Teak, rattan cane, stone, and heavy linen create a sensory experience. You will see this in my signature hand-carved legs, where the texture of the wood invites touch, and in my rotatable cane swings designed for indoor reading nooks.
The Narrative Approach
My work extends beyond mere aesthetics. I am an architect who solves problems. For smaller floor plates, I employ techniques like hidden joinery, where passageways and storage shutters blend into the wall panels. This eliminates the need for bulky, disjointed cupboards. When it comes to lighting, I treat fixtures as sculptural art—think totem-style installations or custom brass-detailed lamps that act as the centerpiece of a room. Every element, from the finish of the burnt wood bed frames to the specific weave of a chair, is chosen to ground the space. I am here to help you articulate your home’s character through bespoke furniture and mindful design choices.
