I often collaborate with Gujarat-based artisans to hand-carve details into solid wood, ensuring that pieces like dining tables or study desks feel tactile and human-made.

Materials and Craft

I favor natural, honest materials. Burma Teak, rattan cane, stone, and heavy linen create a sensory experience. You will see this in my signature hand-carved legs, where the texture of the wood invites touch, and in my rotatable cane swings designed for indoor reading nooks.

The Narrative Approach

My work extends beyond mere aesthetics. I am an architect who solves problems. For smaller floor plates, I employ techniques like hidden joinery, where passageways and storage shutters blend into the wall panels. This eliminates the need for bulky, disjointed cupboards. When it comes to lighting, I treat fixtures as sculptural art—think totem-style installations or custom brass-detailed lamps that act as the centerpiece of a room. Every element, from the finish of the burnt wood bed frames to the specific weave of a chair, is chosen to ground the space.
