Bathroom and Vanity Design
Bathrooms are the most private spaces in your home, yet often the most overlooked. I treat them as intimate, poetic zones, blending functional storage with bold, artistic elements.
This shower bathroom continues the story of hand-painted murals from the adjoining media room. The black and white artwork leads into a dark, cave-like shower space, creating a corner filled with poetry and drama. The green marble sink adds a pop of rich color.
The powder toilet in the 'Aria' project is all about drama. A 'Kings and Queens' mural wraps the upper walls, while the lower half is clad in a beautiful Indian granite. The deep, muddy background and indirect light create a perfect, moody atmosphere.
In this master bathroom, the walls themselves become art. We created a Van Gogh-inspired china mosaic wall, a colorful and textured masterpiece. The custom Jaisalmer stone basin and counter add to the earthy, artistic feel of the space.
The son's bathroom in this holiday villa is a playful combination of black and white tiles. We designed a custom walnut vanity counter and paired it with a quirky cane mirror to create a space that is both youthful and stylish.
This powder toilet makes a dramatic statement with a monolith basin carved from red marble. The dark charcoal IPS walls and in-situ marble flooring create a dark, enveloping space that feels both luxurious and bold.
Another view of the dramatic powder toilet. The design highlights the contrast between the veined red marble of the monolith basin and the dark, textured walls, lit by a single, sculptural wall light.
About this collection
When designing bathrooms, I prioritize the interaction between materials, like the cold touch of Jaisalmer stone against the warmth of hand-crafted wood, to ensure your vanity is both durable and beautiful. Whether you need a custom monolith basin that anchors the room or smart storage that hides the clutter, I focus on balancing moisture-resistant materials with design aesthetics that turn a daily ritual into a sensory experience.
I approach bathroom design not as a standard renovation, but as a narrative. Every shower, powder room, or vanity area is an opportunity to break away from predictable tile-and-sanitary-ware layouts.
The Material Palette
My process starts with the selection of raw, honest materials. I use locally sourced Jaisalmer stone, granite, and marble to create monolith sinks that become the focal point of the room. I often work with dark charcoal IPS (Indian Patent Stone) finishes to create dramatic, cave-like environments that feel grounding. For a lighter touch, I incorporate hand-painted murals to add life to otherwise flat walls, a technique I used effectively in the Aria project to create a sense of theater.
Function Meets Art
A vanity is only as good as its utility. I design custom vanities that incorporate clever storage to keep your toiletries out of sight while maintaining clean lines. I select BWP marine-grade plywood as the structural core for all my furniture to ensure longevity against the humidity of Mumbai. Every handle, drawer, and hinge is chosen for its tactile quality, often featuring hand-turned wooden or brass details that make the simple act of opening a cabinet feel considered.
My Process
I prefer to collaborate directly with you on these projects. Whether you have an existing space that needs a refresh or you are planning a full renovation, I start by understanding how you use your bathroom. Do you want it to be a bright, refreshing morning zone, or a moody, private retreat? I balance your lifestyle needs with my design sensibilities to create spaces that do not just look good, but make you feel good.
