- Do nails need to breathe? No. Nails are made of dead keratin. They do not have lungs. What they do need is protection from moisture and environmental damage.
- Is cuticle cutting bad? Only if done incorrectly. We remove dead tissue, not live skin. Properly clearing the eponychium is essential for preventing premature lifting.
- Does gel ruin nails? Poor removal does. If you pick, peel, or bite your gel off, you are taking layers of your nail plate with it. Always get your polish removed by a professional.
