The biggest challenge with a surprise proposal is not the ring, it is the timing. When I document these moments, I hide in plain sight, using a long lens so I am close enough to catch the real emotion but far enough that the surprise remains pure. You focus on the question and I will make sure the reaction is saved, from the initial shock to the first hug.
How We Plan Your Proposal
Every proposal is unique, and I treat it that way. Since this is a surprise, we need to plan the logistics carefully before the big day. We usually start with a brief call to discuss your partner’s personality and the vibe you want—whether it is a quiet, intimate moment at sunrise or a grand gesture with decorations.
Scouting the Perfect Spot
Whether it is a rooftop in Mumbai, a quiet beach, or a scenic fort in Rajasthan, I scout the location in advance. I look for the best angles and natural lighting, specifically planning around the golden hour for that warm, cinematic look. If you have a specific location in mind, we can walk through how to position yourselves so you are perfectly framed when you go down on one knee.
The 'Yes' Moment
My approach is to remain completely invisible. You will not see me directing or posing you because the best photos are the ones where you are completely lost in each other. Once the moment has passed and the ring is on, we take a few minutes for a relaxed portrait session to celebrate the news.
