About Timeless Couple Portraits
I do not believe in rigid posing or forced smiles. Instead, we spend time creating a relaxed environment, often by simply letting you talk to each other while I work in the background. Whether we are in the gardens of a colonial hotel or a quiet corridor, the goal is for you to forget the camera is there. That is when the real connection, the shared laughter and tender glances, finally comes through in the frame.
When you look back at your wedding photos in ten or twenty years, you should not see a catalogue of trends. You should see yourselves. My approach to couple portraits is built on patience. I look for the light that flatters your features and the background that tells a part of your story, but the most important element is your comfort.
I often suggest locations where you can feel at ease, whether it is the familiarity of your home or a destination we have traveled to specifically for your shoot. I work with natural light whenever possible to keep the skin tones clean and the mood authentic. If we are shooting at a grand venue, I focus on architectural lines that frame you without overshadowing your presence.
For those who feel camera-shy, we start slow. We might walk, sit, or share a quiet moment away from the crowd. By the time we move to portraits, the anxiety of being photographed has usually faded. We are left with images that feel like a scene from a film—real, raw, and entirely yours. Whether you prefer the dramatic contrast of black and white or the warmth of colour, my edit remains consistent: clean, honest, and timeless.
