Couple Portraits: Timeless Moments of Intimacy
These portraits are where the world falls away, leaving just the connection between you. My approach strips away the noise to capture the quiet, unposed flickers of truth that reveal exactly how you see each other.
A moment of pure stillness against the light. This close-up of the couple, their foreheads touching, captures the deep, unspoken connection that is at the heart of every love story.
An intimate close-up, where the world blurs away and only their connection remains. This portrait focuses on the bride's expressive eyes and the gentle closeness of her partner, a quiet moment of trust and love.
A timeless black and white portrait. The groom's gentle kiss on the bride's forehead speaks volumes, capturing a moment of tenderness and protection against a soft, beautiful backdrop.
A candid embrace filled with pure joy. The bride's radiant smile as she hugs her groom shows the unscripted happiness that I love to capture, a perfect memory from their destination wedding in Turkey.
A moment of magic and celebration. The groom kisses his bride's forehead as fireworks light up the background, creating a truly cinematic and unforgettable portrait of their love.
A portrait that feels like a classic painting, rooted in tradition. The couple's pose against the serene waterside setting reflects the quiet beauty and heritage of their South Indian wedding.
A two-part story of a first look. The anticipation in the top frame gives way to a warm, heartfelt embrace in the bottom, beautifully capturing the emotional crescendo of seeing each other for the first time on the wedding day.
A simple and elegant graphic portrait of the couple. The bride's happy, relaxed lean into her groom's embrace makes for a beautifully composed and personal image.
A classic romance scene with a vintage car at their Turkey wedding. This portrait has a timeless, storybook feel, capturing the couple in a moment of quiet conversation against a lush, green backdrop.
A gentle moment shared between the couple in a beautiful garden setting in Rajasthan. Their soft smiles and easy posture reflect the comfortable and deep love they share.
About Couple Portraits: The Stillness Between Two People
I don't give you a list of poses to memorize. Instead, I focus on the gaps between the events—the walk from the mandap, a shared whisper before the speeches, or that first look when the nerves settle. These are the moments where you actually breathe, and that is where the real portraits happen.
My philosophy for couple portraits is simple: I am a witness, not a director. Many couples come to me worried that they aren't 'photogenic' or that they will feel awkward in front of a lens. The truth is, you don't need to be a model to have beautiful portraits. You just need to be yourself.
When we shoot in locations like the corridors of Suryagarh or even a quiet garden in Mumbai, I look for the stillness. We might spend an hour walking, talking, or just sitting together. I am looking for the way your hand finds theirs, the way you look at them when you think I am not watching, and the specific comfort you have built over time. Whether it is a pre-wedding session or a quick portrait break during your wedding day, my goal is to give you photos that feel like memories, not staged performances.
I often shoot these sessions in black and white or with a high-contrast aesthetic because it strips away distractions. It forces us to focus on the lines, the light, and the emotion. If we are shooting at a destination wedding, the architecture and the landscapes become characters in your story, framing that intimacy rather than overshadowing it. We will find that quiet space, even in the middle of a celebration as loud and chaotic as an Indian wedding.
The Movie’ing Moments
I am Vaaibhav, and I started Movie’ing Moments to capture love stories as they actually happen, not as they are scripted. I believe the most powerful images aren't found in a studio, but in the small, honest spaces you create for each other.
