Makeup is more than just products; it is about understanding your skin. Here, I break down the techniques behind my signature base, long-lasting looks, and exactly how to prep your skin for your big day.

I often get asked how I approach makeup trials. Instead of a half-face trial, I prefer doing two different eye looks to help you choose and ask you to wear the makeup for 8-10 hours to see how it feels and lasts. This video explains my detailed trial process.

There's a big difference between skincare for daily treatment and skin prep for makeup. I explain why using heavy treatment serums or oils before makeup can cause it to oxidize and how to choose lightweight, hydrating products like hyaluronic acid for that perfect pre-makeup base.

Working with dusky skin is one of my favourite things. Here are my top 5 tips, including how to prep the skin, choose the right foundation, and my most important rule: never change the natural skin tone, only enhance its glow.

The placement of colour can make or break an eye look. I always start applying eyeshadow from the outer corner and blend inwards, depositing the most pigment on the outside for a beautiful, seamless gradation of colour.

To avoid a harsh line or 'demarcation' between two eyeshadow colours, I use a transition shade to create a soft gradation. In this clip, I show how I blend a silver and a brown shadow seamlessly using a cool-toned brown with a hint of silver.

Finding the perfect nude pink lip for brown skin can be tricky. This short tutorial shows my go-to lip combination that beautifully complements deeper skin tones for a soft, polished finish.

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to create the popular Korean-style gradient lips. This technique gives a soft, just-bitten look that is perfect for a fresh and youthful Mehendi or daytime event look.

Here is a quick eye makeup technique using just three eyeshadows: a base colour, a transition shade, and a darker shade for depth. It's a versatile method for creating a beautiful look when you're short on time.

Many clients have unrealistic expectations because of social media filters. It's important to know that makeup can minimize the appearance of skin texture, but it can't erase it. This video shows my approach to working with textured skin for a beautiful, real-skin finish.

A dupatta can be draped in so many ways to complete your bridal look. This video showcases a few different bridal dupatta draping styles, from a classic single dupatta to a belted style, to help you find what works for you.

About My Makeup Philosophy: Tips & Tutorials

Dekho, skin prep is the most important part of your bridal look, but it is not about using expensive products. It is about 'Levels of Hydration.' I focus on layering lightweight products correctly to ensure your base is sweat-proof and holds up for 10 plus hours. The best way to see this? Come for a trial, we will test two eye looks and base types, and you can keep them on for the day. That is the only real way to know if your makeup will last.

I believe in transparency. When you book a trial with me, we don't do half-face applications. We do two full eye looks and base types so you can see the difference, compare how they feel, and check longevity after 8 to 10 hours.

Why Technique Matters More Than Products

With so many new products launching every day, it gets confusing. Many clients ask me about using heavy serums or oils before makeup. Using the wrong treatment, like a thick retinol or heavy face oil, before your foundation will only cause your makeup to oxidize and look patchy. My method uses thin, consistent layers that bond with your skin rather than sitting on top of it.

Real Expectations for Real Skin

Social media filters have created unrealistic expectations. Makeup cannot erase skin texture, acne pits, or pores—it can only minimize them. My approach is to work with your skin, not against it. We use specific blending motions and thin layers to achieve a finish that looks like skin, not a mask.

Customizing Your Look

Whether you want a soft, modern look for a day event or a bold, classic bridal style, we focus on placement. For instance, with eye makeup, I teach my students and clients to start from the outer corner to blend inwards, creating a seamless gradation of color without harsh lines.
