About Additional Looks & Client Moments
Before booking, I always encourage a trial where we test two different eye looks and base types. You keep this makeup on for 8 to 10 hours, through meals, travel, and different lighting, to see exactly how it wears. This wear test is the only way to be 100% sure the look suits your skin texture and stays flawless from the first photo to the last dance.
My philosophy is simple: makeup is meant to enhance, not hide. Whether I am doing a bold cocktail look or a soft, minimal style for a Roka ceremony, the focus remains on the skin. I follow a strict 'Levels of Hydration' method, using layers of toners and serums before any product touches your face. This ensures that the base doesn't cake or crack, giving you that 'no-filter' glow that lasts.
Why the Trial Matters
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all. Every face has different texture, and every skin tone reacts differently to products. During our trial, we look at:
- Base Preference: Do you prefer a matte finish or a dewy, glowing look?
- Eye Shape: We experiment with different liner styles, cut-creases, and smokey effects to see what opens up your eyes.
- Longevity: How your skin behaves after 6 hours is more important than how it looks the moment I finish.
