Advanced Cricket Batting Drills & High-Intensity Training
Level up your game with my high-intensity batting drills. We don't just hit balls; we rebuild your technique, sharpen your reaction time, and train your muscle memory to handle pressure. Perfect for serious players ready to push their limits.
A multi-shot drill with Aman to improve his body setup and shot selection under fatigue. We are quickly transitioning between the drive, punch, and cut shot to build his muscle memory and reaction time.
This is an advanced drill with two bats for my student Ishan. By alternating between top-hand and bottom-hand drives, we are improving his hand-eye coordination, reaction time, and building strength in both arms simultaneously.
A high-intensity drill with 10-year-old Yaduveer to improve his reaction time and footwork. The drill involves him stepping out for a drive, quickly receiving a ball, and then repeating the process. This builds concentration and makes his movements faster.
Working with 10-year-old Yaduveer on an advanced drill to increase his bat speed and reaction time for the cut shot. The quick, repetitive movements help build the muscle memory needed to execute this shot powerfully.
This advanced drill with Ishan focuses on improving the coordination between his top and bottom hands. Using two bats helps isolate each hand's movement, ensuring they work together for a faster and more extended swing.
Here, I'm working with Yaduveer on an advanced drill to improve body flexibility, reaction time, and concentration. The quick movements and need to constantly adjust help build the agility required for top-level batting.
This is a high-intensity drill with Piyush, Maharashtra's U-16 top scorer. We are pushing him to his limits to build stamina, ensuring his footwork and hand extension remain perfect even when he is tired. This is how you prepare for long innings.
With Yug from the USA, we're doing high-intensity drills to improve his reaction time. This exercise involves quick footwork for both on-drives and off-drives, training his body to react instinctively to the ball's line.
A high-intensity session with Piyush, a U-16 district player from Maharashtra. This drill focuses on foot movement, hand extension, and speed work, pushing him to maintain his technique even under fatigue.
High-intensity drills are key to building match fitness. Here, players are working on explosive movements, combining batting footwork with sprints to improve agility, speed, and endurance. Champions train even when it rains.
About Advanced Drills & High-Intensity Training
The images here are from real sessions at the Striker Sports Indoor Academy in Indirapuram. I do not believe in just giving you endless throwdowns. Whether we are using two bats to fix your top-hand dominance or pushing you through a high-intensity circuit when you are already tired, the goal is always the same: building real muscle memory. When your body is exhausted, your technique gets tested. If we can get your stance and footwork right under that fatigue, you will stay calm and technically sound when it actually matters in a match.
Most players practice until they are tired and then stop. I believe that is exactly where the real training begins. My high-intensity drills are designed to bridge the gap between net practice and match-day performance. By pushing your physical limits—using resistance bands, agility ladders, or specific drills like the two-bat technique for hand coordination—we force your body to rely on refined muscle memory rather than raw instinct.
I focus on correcting flaws at the root. If your hip rotation is off during an on-drive, or your head falls over while playing the cut shot, we do not just fix it for today. We break it down into Level 1 to Level 3 progressive drills until your body automatically assumes the correct position.
My sessions at the Indirapuram indoor nets are not just about bat speed. We work on:
- Reaction Time: Drills involving quick-fire throwdowns to sharpen your judgment against varying ball speeds.
- Hand-Eye Coordination: Using specialized drills to ensure your top and bottom hands work in sync, preventing common technical errors like inside-out shots.
- Technical Audit: I use instant video analysis to show you exactly where your weight transfer or shoulder alignment fails under pressure.
Whether you are an U-16 district player or a beginner learning the basics, these sessions are intense and demanding. If you are ready to stop repeating the same mistakes and start building a technically solid foundation that holds up in any match, this is where you start.
