Wellness & Leisure Space Interiors by Spectre Architects
We design wellness and leisure zones that balance high-energy utility with deep, quiet relaxation. From private fitness floors to sophisticated entertainment lounges.
This is the 'Ice Pod' area in a private wellness center. We used a curved black marble wall for the shower and a wood-paneled tub to create a dramatic, spa-like atmosphere for post-workout recovery.
A custom storage unit designed for a gym. The playful, curved compartments provide organized space for everything from protein supplements and towels to soccer balls, combining unique form with practical function.
The lounge area of the wellness center, featuring a pool table and comfortable seating. Large windows provide ample natural light, while the modern furniture and 'BAR' sign create a relaxed, club-like vibe.
A modern take on a classic billiard room. We combined rich wood textures on the pool table and ceiling with contemporary furniture and lighting to create a sophisticated yet comfortable entertainment space.
The jacuzzi and sauna area in the wellness center. We used clean lines, a mix of wood and tile, and soft lighting to design a tranquil and luxurious space for relaxation.
A peek into the wellness center, showing the relationship between the jacuzzi area and the custom 'SAUNA' and storage unit. The design uses a dark, cohesive palette to connect the different zones.
The vanity and changing area adjacent to the gym floor. A large round mirror, sleek black basin, and modern pendant lights provide a stylish and functional space for members to freshen up.
About this collection
We believe a wellness space should never feel like a factory. Whether it is the high-energy 'Discipline' gym floor or the quiet, moody retreat of a sauna and ice pod area, we focus on material transitions that shift the vibe instantly. We use dark, cohesive palettes and soft, warm lighting to ensure that even a post-workout recovery zone feels like a deliberate, comfortable break from the grind.
Designing wellness and leisure spaces is all about managing the energy of a room. A gym needs to feel motivating, but a recovery zone or a billiard room needs to help you switch off. That balance is what we obsess over.
The Material Choice
In these projects, we move away from standard glossy finishes. We prefer materials that age well and have texture. Think fluted panels for visual depth, micro-concrete for a raw, industrial feel, and cast-in-situ terrazzo for that premium touch. For the sauna and bathing areas in our wellness centers, we often use moisture-resistant woods paired with black marble or tile to create that spa-like cocoon without it feeling cold or clinical.
Functionality First
It is easy to make a gym look good in a render, but it is much harder to make it function. We pay special attention to storage—gym equipment is messy. We design custom cabinetry, like our curved storage units for towels, proteins, and balls, to keep the space looking sharp. In our entertainment lounges, such as the billiard rooms we have designed, we integrate the lighting to highlight the play area while keeping the surrounding seating area ambient and soft.
The 'Messy' Process
We are honest about the fact that no site is perfect from day one. You might see a finished sauna in our gallery, but getting those curved black marble walls or the specific lighting for a pool table right usually involves a bit of trial and error on site. We embrace that process because it is how we get the details right. If you want a space that is not just a copy-paste design but something that fits your specific brand or home lifestyle, we are here to walk through that planning phase with you.
Spectre Architects
I am Swasti, and I lead the team here at Spectre Architects. I genuinely love the chaos of site execution because that is where the real work happens. My approach is simple: I balance your need for high-performance fitness or leisure areas with the calm, sophisticated aesthetic that turns a room into a retreat.
