About Rustic & Vintage Collection
These pieces aren't just containers. The weathered Atlantis imports undergo a specific firing process to create that signature 'aged' texture, so every pot is truly unique. Before you finalize, consider the weight for your balcony or let me know if you need specialized floor protection pads for indoor wooden surfaces.
When you want a space to feel less 'showroom' and more 'lived-in,' these textures make the difference. My vintage and rustic collection focuses on pieces that carry a narrative. I source these directly, finding classic terracotta from Vietnam and Bali, and those distinct Atlantis imports that look like they were salvaged from a sunken garden.
Why choose rustic over modern? It is about depth. A sleek, high-gloss pot is safe, but a weathered, textured pot demands attention. Whether you are setting up a single statement piece or a cluster, the right texture transforms the plant sitting inside it.
Practical tips for styling:
- Mix your heights: Don't put everything on the floor. Use my taller urns for statement trees and smaller, squat pots for tabletop ferns.
- Grouping: I always recommend grouping in odd numbers, like three or five, to keep the eye moving. Mixing a tall, narrow vessel with a wide, bulbous one creates that 'designer' look without trying too hard.
- Indoor vs. Outdoor: While these look like they belong in an old-world garden, I seal the drainage holes for many of my indoor-use clients. If you are placing these on a finished floor, ask me about my heavy-duty floor pads to prevent scratching.
Everything you see here is available at my Khar studio. These aren't mass-produced, so stock changes as I hunt for new finds. If you have a specific project or a tricky corner you are trying to fill, send me a photo. I love helping clients figure out which texture complements their existing furniture.
