Behind the Scenes: My Creative Process
Painting isn't just about the final result. It’s the sketching, the base prep, and the late nights that bring a space to life. Here is how I turn blank walls into art.
A glimpse from my point of view at the Bal Samagam exhibition. I loved creating these models and wall paintings for such a wonderful event.
About The Artist at Work
The most important part of my work happens before the first brushstroke. I start by assessing your wall surface and creating a digital mockup to get the scale and color palette right. For complex event installations like the ones I did for the Bal Samagam exhibition, I have to plan for rapid setup and structural stability to ensure the 3D elements stay secure throughout the event, which is just as much work as the painting itself.
When you hire me for a mural, you aren't just getting paint on a wall. Whether I am working on a 100 sq ft home mural or a detailed 3D fibre sculpture, the process follows a strict flow to ensure quality.
My Execution Process
- Conceptualization: We start by discussing your vibe. I create a digital mockup overlay so you know exactly what the final piece will look like on your specific wall before I touch a brush.
- Material Selection: Depending on the project, I use premium interior emulsions for flat graffiti or heavy body acrylics for textured, realistic murals. My 3D fibre art involves complex molding and curing phases, which is why those pieces require a bit more lead time.
- Site Preparation: My team and I handle the masking and site protection to keep your space clean. While sanding for texture art creates dust, I provide sheets to cover your furniture and floors.
- The Finish: Every piece is finished with a double coat of artist-grade varnish. This protects the art against UV fading and dust, ensuring your mural looks as fresh in 10 years as it does on day one.
Whether it’s a café feature wall, a corporate office, or a pooja room, my goal is to inject energy into the space. If your project involves high-altitude work or special lighting installations, we discuss those technical requirements during the initial consultation.
