There is a misconception that newborn shoots require elaborate studio setups, bright lights, and perfect posing. My approach is different. I treat these sessions as a slow, intentional document of your baby's first weeks. By keeping the session in your home, we maintain the environment that you and your baby already know. This is where you feed, where you rock, and where you bond. That familiarity is exactly what I aim to capture.

Why I Prioritize Time

Newborns are unpredictable, and that is completely okay. My sessions are scheduled for two to three hours. This isn't because I'm taking photos every single minute, but because I want to give you room to breathe. If your baby needs a feeding, a diaper change, or just a little bit of comfort, we stop. We don't rush. The photos we get during those calm, quiet moments—the way they curl into your shoulder or the way they settle after a feed—are almost always the ones parents treasure most.

Preparing for Your Session

While I keep things simple, I do help with wardrobe coordination to ensure the focus remains on your connection rather than busy patterns. For newborn sessions, I provide soft wraps and simple accessories, but we keep the nursery elements natural. Whether it is your maternity shoot in a local park or a newborn session in your living room, the goal is always the same: to create a visual memory of the early days that feels like home.
