About Devotional & Traditional Music
For these devotional programs, we perform in an acoustic, seated style, keeping the volume soft and non-intrusive. We work to ensure the sitar, flute, and tabla blend perfectly with the acoustics of your venue, whether it is a temple or a private home setting.
Music is my life and my path to devotion, or bakthi. When performing at religious ceremonies, temple events, or traditional family rituals, my goal is to create an environment of peace. We do not believe in overpowering the space with loud electronic sounds. Instead, we focus on the raw, authentic resonance of our instruments.
Our traditional devotional sets are specifically designed for rituals like Muhurtham. We use a 5-piece ensemble that includes lead sitar, supporting vocals or sitar for chants, flute, tabla, and mridangam. By avoiding electronic percussion, we maintain the acoustic sanctity required for Vedic chants and bhajans.
We have performed at venues ranging from sacred temple grounds in Dharmasthala to intimate home gatherings in Bengaluru. In every instance, we prioritize the mood of the event. Our musicians appear in traditional ethnic attire, such as dhotis and angavastram, to ensure we are a respectful part of the proceedings. We require only minimal amplification to achieve a warm, clear sound that allows your guests to focus on the prayers and the music.
