About Dressed for the Occasion
I design for real movement, which means every piece—from heavy-looking festive lehengas to intricate kurta sets—is finished with soft cotton linings and kid-safe, lightweight embellishments. If your child wants to sprint across the lawn or dance at the sangeet, they can, without ever feeling restricted or itchy. 💫
My goal is to make sure your little ones look sharp for family photos while staying comfortable enough to play.
Every piece I create is built to last through the celebration. For my festive lehengas and gowns, I include 2-3 inches of extra margin in the blouse and lehenga hem, so you don't have to worry about a growth spurt before the next big event. My kurta sets and sherwanis use premium Chanderi or Cotton Silk, but always with a full Malmal cotton lining to prevent skin irritation.
Whether you are shopping for a wedding in Mumbai or shipping to your home elsewhere, I focus on the details that matter to parents:
- Easy wear: Elasticated waistbands on bottoms so there are no complicated knots to fuss with.
- Safe sparkle: I use foil mirror work instead of heavy glass, so it looks traditional but is gentle on delicate skin.
