A saree is only as good as its blouse. Whether you need traditional Maggam handwork or a perfect fit for your bridal silk, I handle the stitching and design right here in Nerul and Ulwe.

This close-up shows the exquisite handwork on one of my custom-stitched blouses. It features zardozi, beadwork, and stone embellishments on a vibrant green pure silk fabric.

Here is another example of my custom blouse work. This royal blue blouse is adorned with traditional gold coin work, known as 'kasu' embroidery, along the neckline for a classic South Indian bridal look.

About this collection

Getting the fit right is the biggest challenge, which is why I use a padded Princess or Katori cut to provide structure and comfort. Whether it is intricate Zardosi work for a bridal Paithani or delicate thread work for a party saree, I ensure the motif matches your saree’s border perfectly.

Finding a tailor who understands pure silk can be tough. I started offering custom stitching because I saw too many customers ruin beautiful, expensive sarees with poor fitting or mismatched embroidery. My service focuses on two things: structural fit and detailed embellishment.

The Fitting Process

I offer Princess cut and Katori cut stitching to ensure your blouse provides the right silhouette. Every blouse comes with padded cups included, so you don't have to worry about shape. I use high-quality cotton or cotton-rubia lining, which makes the blouse breathable and comfortable for long wedding functions in our Navi Mumbai climate.

Handwork and Embroidery

My team specializes in Maggam and Aari work. We don't just stitch; we create. Whether you want temple jewelry-style Lakshmi coins, Kundan stones, or Zardosi wires, I work with you to match the design to your specific saree border. We pay attention to the sleeve length and neckline depth to ensure the final look is balanced.

If you have a specific bridal saree, bring it in to the Nerul or Ulwe store. We can lay out the fabric and discuss the pattern before we start. This ensures you get a blouse that actually elevates your saree, rather than just matching it.

At Shivleela Silk, I treat every blouse like it is my own. I know that after spending time picking the perfect pure silk saree, the last thing you want is a blouse that does not fit, so I make sure every stitch and stone reflects that quality.
