About this collection
Many women think they need someone else to pin their saree, especially for heavy fabrics like Kanjivaram or Banarsi. In my 1-on-1 classes, I show you the exact pleating tension needed for different materials so your saree stays secure without needing constant adjustments. We work on the foundation, the tucking, and the pinning strategy until it feels natural, theek hai?
When I started teaching, I realized the biggest struggle wasn't the saree itself, but the fear of it falling apart. Whether you are a bride-to-be or a working professional, my classes are designed to remove that stress.
We start with the basics, including how to tie your petticoat or shapewear for the right foundation. Then, we move to the mechanics:
- Pleating: I teach you the center pleat technique for a slim, neat look, and chest pleats that stay secure.
- Pinning: Learn which pins to use so you never tear your Chiffon, Organza, or delicate handlooms.
- Styling: We cover both the classic corporate look and the more relaxed open-pallu social drape.
I offer these sessions in two formats to suit your lifestyle. You can visit my studio in Basavanagudi for hands-on, face-to-face training where we use professional draping stands to build muscle memory. If you are outside Bangalore, or simply prefer learning from home, my virtual 1-on-1 sessions are just as effective. I use multiple camera angles so I can see your movements clearly and correct your drape in real-time. By the end, you will not just look good, you will know exactly how to achieve that look again on your own. No drama, just skill.
