This message made my day. When a student's family, who has seen her struggle, is surprised by her perfect drape, it's the best compliment. This is why I teach, to give you that "paisa vasool" feeling of independence and confidence.
I had the honor of draping the beautiful actress Priya Varrier for the Filmfare South awards. This is the level of perfection and finish I bring to my professional draping work, and I teach the same principles in my classes for you.
It's a wonderful feeling to share the art of saree draping with a group of enthusiastic women. In my workshops, I create a supportive space where everyone can learn, ask questions, and rediscover their love for sarees together.

About Personal Saree Draping Classes

Why I Teach Saree Draping

It's not just about the saree for me - it's about making you feel confident and independent. Over the years, maine hazaaron (thousands) of women ko sikhaya hai (have taught) how to drape a saree themselves, whether they're total newbies or just need a confidence boost. My classes are for anyone who wants to stop depending on others for something as basic (yet tricky!) as wearing a saree.

Who My Classes Are For

  • Struggling to even start with a saree? No stress, this is for you.
  • Closet full of sarees, but always need help? I get it.
  • Brides-to-be, working ladies, or just someone wanting to learn something new - sab ke liye (for everyone).

What I Actually Teach

I break it down to make it bilkul asaan (absolutely easy):

  • Basics: What to wear under, first tuck, making the saree stay put.
  • Saree pleating techniques: Neat center pleats for a slim look, chest pleats that don’t budge.
  • Pallu tricks: Classic pleated ya open palla (pallu) - how to manage it so it stays elegant.
  • Fabrics: Chiffon, organza, Kanjivaram, Banarsi - each ka alag funda hai (each has its own method), and we cover that.

How My Classes Work

  • Personalized, one-on-one saree draping lesson - in Bangalore or online (worldwide).
  • I give you my full attention, lots of patience, and real tips from experience.

Mix and match with self-makeup lessons if you want a complete glow-up. By the end, you’ll drape your saree yourself - no drama, just you being you.

My Story

Hi, I’m Shikha. After years of being mom, I finally hit 40 and thought, bas, ab time hai apne liye (now is my time). That ‘Marzi Ki Malkin’ song? That’s me! I started teaching makeup and saree draping, and wow, what a ride. From teens to aunties, doctors to brides, I’ve taught 1000+ women. My classes aren’t just about makeup, they’re about confidence. Fail, learn, succeed – sab chalta hai (everything goes). Passion drives me, and I want you to feel it too.

My Work

Self-makeup & Saree Draping Classes - I teach one-on-one, online and offline, in Bangalore or anywhere you are.

Step-by-step, basics first - Hum basics se shuru karte hain (We start from scratch), guiding you every step but letting you try on your own.

Natural everyday makeup with minimal products - I show you how to look great with less, picking products that suit your skin, not your wallet.

For anyone, any age - Brides, IT pros, moms, aunties – if you want to learn, I’m here. Age, busy schedule, doesn’t matter.

Personalised, not generic - Classes are tailored to you – your skin, your style. You’ll learn skills for life, not just follow a tutorial.
