This is a glimpse of the stunning architecture in Andalusia, the region in Southern Spain where Flamenco was born. For me, this land is a second home, and its visual poetry inspires my artistic journey and my teaching every single day.

The vibrant bougainvillea against an old tower in Andalusia captures the region's spirit. My experiences here, especially during the world-famous Jerez Flamenco festival, have given me the most enriching moments and fuel the authenticity I bring to my classes.

A quiet, sun-drenched street in an Andalusian town. Every corner you turn here tells a story, and walking these streets on my way to a studio or theatre is a constant source of inspiration. This is the atmosphere I strive to recreate in my lessons.

The intricate balconies and sun-bleached walls of this building in Andalusia are details that I carry with me. This connection to the land of Flamenco is something I share with my students, helping them understand the culture from which the dance originates.

The entrance to the Alameda de Hércules, a famous plaza in Seville known for its vibrant Flamenco scene. Being in these spaces, where the art form lives and breathes, is essential to my practice and ensures I am always connected to its source.

Did you know Cuban music influenced Flamenco? This photo of a classic car in Cuba represents the 'Cantes de Ida y Vuelta', a fascinating group of Flamenco styles that absorbed Latin American influences. We explore these unique histories in my courses.

About The Soul of Flamenco: Cultural Journeys

To really dance Flamenco, you have to understand where it comes from. My lessons go beyond basic steps to help you master compas—the rhythmic cycles that define the art form—and the Andalusian storytelling traditions behind the music. Whether you are a total beginner or a dancer looking to add texture to your choreography, we start by listening to the pulse of the music to make your movement feel natural and authentic.
