Behind the Lens with Shehzeen
I turned my hobby into my profession and I have not looked back since. Here is a look at what happens when I am not behind the camera lens.
On the job, capturing the high-speed action for a Red Bull event. This shows me focused and equipped for demanding, fast-paced commercial shoots, ready to get the perfect shot no matter the environment.
A more candid moment during my travels in Switzerland. I always have my camera with me, ready to capture beautiful scenes. This reflects my genuine passion for photography that goes beyond client work.
A personal shot of me against a vibrant, graphic mural. My creative eye isn't just for interiors; I'm always looking for interesting compositions, colors, and backdrops. My camera is practically an extension of my arm.
Another angle from the same impromptu photoshoot. I love how the bold red and blue lines of the wall create a dynamic background. This is the kind of creative energy I bring to every project.
About Behind the Lens
Photography is much more than just a click. Whether I am dodging cars at a Red Bull event or styling a 400 sq. ft. studio, my process is the same: find the best light, obsess over the textures, and keep the energy high. The behind-the-scenes might be messy, but the final images always reflect a clean, modern aesthetic.
I started out just loving the process of taking photos, and that curiosity is still what drives my work today. When you look at my portfolio, you are seeing the result of a lot of trial and error. I don't just point and shoot. I spend time understanding the space or the subject, playing with natural light, and figuring out what makes a composition work.
My approach works across different styles because I view them all through the same lens. When I shoot interiors for design studios, I am looking for the same visual impact and narrative that I look for when covering a high-energy sporting event. It is about capturing a specific moment, whether that is the way sunlight hits a piece of furniture or the intensity of a racer coming around a corner.
I work closely with my clients in Mumbai to ensure the vision is clear. If you are a designer or an architect, you know that the details matter. I focus on those small things: the grain in the wood, the curve of a chair, or the specific branding elements that need to pop. We collaborate to make sure the final images are ready for your portfolio, website, or social media feed. If you have an idea for a shoot, let's talk about how to make it happen.
