Intricate, full-coverage henna patterns extending from your fingertips to your elbow. I use fine-tip cones for the rich, dense detailing characteristic of traditional Indian mehandi.

A classic full-arm Indian mehandi design, featuring elephant and peacock motifs, paisleys, and geometric bands for a rich, celebratory look.

About Traditional Full-Arm Henna

These full-arm designs require a commitment of at least 20 to 30 minutes per side to achieve the dense, high-contrast look you see here. Because I focus on heavy shading and fine-line work, I recommend finding a stable, well-lit spot at home where you can sit comfortably for the duration of the application without moving your hands too much.

When you choose a traditional full-arm design, you are opting for a classic look that defines Indian bridal and festive aesthetics. My approach centers on high-density, filled patterns that leave minimal visible skin, creating that rich, deep colour payoff that everyone looks for after the henna dries.

My Approach to Full-Arm Henna

  • Technique: I use a 0.38mm fine-tip cone. This allows me to create the sharp, thin lines needed for grid work (checks), paisleys, and intricate floral shading.
  • Customization: Whether you want to incorporate specific wedding motifs like elephants and peacocks, or add a personal touch like a name, date, or a “Ram” motif, I weave these into the design flow seamlessly.
  • Material: I use organic henna paste mixed with essential oils, ensuring the stain remains dark and lasts as long as possible.

Why Book for a Full-Arm Session

This style is not just about coverage; it is about the story told through the patterns. From the fingertips up to the mid-forearm, I layer traditional motifs to ensure symmetry and balance. Whether you are prepping for a wedding, Karva Chauth, or a festive family gathering, a full-arm design serves as the focal point of your look.
