Essential Dog Care Tips and Health Advice
Being a dog parent is a huge responsibility. Here, I share the hard-won lessons on safety and health that every pet parent needs to know to keep their bachha safe.
This information might save your dog's life. I explain what GDV or Bloat is, a dangerous condition in large dogs, and how to prevent it. Please share this.
Dogs teach us to be fighters. This 14-year-old senior dog, Wags, recovered from a tumor surgery. Never give up on your old dogs.
The summer heat can be deadly for dogs. In this video, I explain the signs of heatstroke and what you can do to prevent it. Please be careful with your pets.
About this collection
These aren't just tips; they are life-saving protocols. Whether it is recognising the early signs of bloat in a large breed or protecting your pet from the city heat, knowing exactly what to do in those critical first few minutes is the difference between a scare and a tragedy.
Being a pet parent goes beyond just food and walks. In my years of rescue work and running Second Home, I have seen too many preventable emergencies. This collection is my way of sharing what I have learned so you can give your bachha an achha jeevan.
Recognising the Dangers My videos cover the 'silent' killers:
- GDV (Bloat): This is common in large, deep-chested breeds like German Shepherds and Labradors. If you see unproductive vomiting or a bloated stomach, do not wait. It is an emergency. Small meals and avoiding exercise immediately after eating are your first lines of defence.
- Heatstroke: Our city heat is hard on dogs. If they are panting excessively, drooling, or collapsing, get them to a cool place immediately. Use damp towels to bring their temperature down and get to a vet.
The Senior Dog Perspective I often talk about dogs like Wags, who at 14, came through a tumor surgery. Their resilience is proof that age is just a number if they get the right care. Never give up on your senior dogs. They need patience, comfort, and extra love.
At my boarding facility in HSR Layout and Parappana Agrahara, we put this knowledge into practice. We do not just watch dogs; we monitor their eating habits, their play intensity, and their energy levels every single day. If you have questions about your dog's specific health needs, send me a message.
