My approach varies based on what you are wearing. A flowy chiffon saree requires a different pinning technique than a heavy, 3kg Zardosi work Banarasi. For heavy sarees, I use specific locking methods that distribute the weight across your shoulders and waist, preventing the fabric from pulling on your blouse or jewelry.

The Process Behind the Drape

• Fabric Care: I start by steam ironing the saree to remove fold lines. This makes the fabric easier to manipulate and ensures the pleats fall straight.
• Body Analysis: I assess your height and hip positioning to decide the exact width of the pleats. This sculpts your silhouette and prevents that 'bulky' look.
• Movement Guides: Whether you are going to be sitting for hours at a Pheras ceremony or dancing at a cocktail party, I secure the drape to withstand that specific movement.

Pre-Pleating for Travel

If you have a destination event, you don't need to carry the stress of draping. I offer a pre-pleated service where I set your pleats, steam-iron them, and fold them into a compact box. You can essentially step into your saree like a skirt in under two minutes.
