Elegant Saree Portraits
I capture the grace of the saree with a modern, cinematic edge. My focus is on soft light, real emotions, and the timeless beauty of traditional Indian attire, shot right here in my Mumbai studio.

I love playing with lens flare and natural light. In this shot, the light spilling in from the window creates a dreamy, hazy effect that beautifully frames the model's face, adding a touch of magic to the portrait.
This is a simple, direct portrait that lets the model's stunning eyes be the focal point. The soft lighting and muted background ensure that nothing distracts from her engaging expression.

About Elegant Saree Portraits
When I shoot sarees, I focus on the drape and the drama. We’ll spend time during our pre-shoot consultation aligning on a specific mood—do you want the soft, hazy light that mimics a morning glow, or a high-contrast, cinematic look that makes the jewelry pop?
Traditional does not have to mean static. My approach to saree photography is about movement and emotion. In my Mumbai studio, I use Nikon full-frame gear and Godox lighting to isolate the subject, making the fabric and the details of the jewelry stand out without relying on heavy digital effects.
We start with a virtual consultation to discuss the mood board. I want to know if you are aiming for a soft, painterly aesthetic or something sharp and high-fashion. We will test different drapes and angles to see what catches the light best.
During the shoot, I prioritize direction. I will guide you through posing to ensure we capture the natural grace of the saree rather than a stiff, unnatural pose. After the shoot, I apply frequency separation techniques for retouching, which smooths the skin while keeping every pore and texture intact. You walk away with high-resolution, magazine-quality images that feel authentic to who you are.
