Creative Portraits and Candid Travel Photography
Beyond the studio lights and professional campaigns, I love chasing stories. Here is a peek into the experimental work, personal projects, and candid street moments that keep my eye sharp.
Sometimes inspiration strikes outside the studio. This was a creative, experimental shot taken from above, using natural elements to create a unique and artistic composition. It shows that a great idea can be captured anywhere.
As an artist, I also turn the camera on myself to experiment with concepts. This self-portrait was a fun project about dreaming, created with simple props to show that creativity isn't limited by location.
Even outside the studio, I'm always looking for compelling faces. I captured this moment of pure joy in Dharavi's Kumbharwada. The warm, hazy sunlight and the girl's infectious smile make this one of my favorite candid street portraits.
About Additional Work
When I step away from studio lights, the world becomes my canvas. These aren't just snapshots; they are experiments with composition and timing. Whether I’m shooting on my phone while walking through Dharavi or setting up a conceptual self-portrait, the focus is always on capturing the raw energy of the moment, regardless of the gear.
Photography, for me, is as much about the process as it is about the final result. I believe that if you have an eye for a frame, the gear you use—whether it is a high-end Nikon setup or just my phone—matters less than the perspective you bring.
My personal work in this collection serves as a playground for these ideas:
- Street and Documentary: Capturing candid moments in places like Mumbai’s Kumbharwada requires patience and a low profile. It is about waiting for that one smile or the right light to tell a story without interfering with the scene.
- Conceptual Self-Portraits: When I want to push my boundaries, I turn the lens on myself. This allows me to experiment with lighting, props, and themes that I might not get to try on a client shoot. It is my way of testing ideas before applying them to commercial work.
- Phone Photography: I am a firm believer that some of the best images come from the device you have on you. Exploring mobile photography helps me stay agile and ready for fleeting moments that disappear before you can set up a tripod.
These projects inform my professional photography, keeping my approach fresh and unconventional. If you like this style and want to bring a creative, non-traditional edge to your own photoshoot, let’s talk about how we can collaborate.
