The Story Behind Our Balcony Garden

What began in 2018 as a shift from desk jobs to dirt-filled hands has grown into a full-fledged mission to make Mangalore greener. We are not just providing plants; we are personally walking through your space, listening to what your balcony needs, and manufacturing the very planters that house your new greenery.

We are Poornima and Prajwal Shetty, the team behind Our Balcony Garden. Our journey did not start in a nursery, but in the corporate world. Like many in Mangalore, we felt the absence of green nooks in our concrete-heavy city. We wanted to bridge that gap between the desire for nature and the practicalities of urban maintenance.

When we launched in 2018, our vision was simple: help Namma Kudla breathe. We realized that people were often intimidated by gardening because they did not know how to start or what would survive in our climate. That is why we shifted our focus to end-to-end solutions. We do not just sell pots or saplings; we design the entire environment.

From developing our own line of lightweight, durable fibre planters to teaching clients which indoor plants actually thrive in Mangalore's humidity, every project we take on is a reflection of our commitment to sustainable living.
