About My Process: How I Prepare Your Saree
I don't just fold your saree; I calculate pleats based on your exact height and waist size so you aren't fighting with fabric at the last minute. After a deep steam press, I strategically pin the pallu and skirt so you can step into your saree and be ready to walk out the door in under five minutes.
When you send me a saree, it goes through a specific, careful process to make sure it looks perfect when you finally wear it.
1. Fabric Assessment & Prep First, I look at the material. A heavy Kanjeevaram needs different handling than a light crepe. I assess the weight, the border stiffness, and your specific requirements for the occasion.
2. Steam Pressing Before a single pleat is made, I use professional steam ironing to remove all wrinkles. This gives the fabric the crisp finish that defines a professional drape.
3. Body-Specific Pleating This is where my service differs from a standard fold. I calculate pleats based on your height and waist measurements. If you are wearing heels, we adjust the length accordingly so the hem falls perfectly. I set both the skirt and pallu pleats, ensuring they are uniform and sharp.
4. Strategic Pinning I use high-quality, discrete safety pins to lock the structure in place. This allows you to drape the saree yourself without needing a second pair of hands.
5. Box Folding for Travel Finally, I fold the saree into a compact, brick-like shape. This prevents the fabric from getting crushed in your suitcase. Whether you are traveling across Bengaluru or taking your saree abroad, you can open the box and wear it immediately without needing to iron it again.
