Behind the Scenes: The Product Photography Process
That perfect, scroll-stopping shot rarely happens on the first try. See what goes into the studio setup, rigging, and lighting required to bring a product to life.
This clip shows the setup for creating levitating bottle shots for two different beverage brands. You can see the equipment used and the trial-and-error process that leads to a clean, floating product image against a white background.
Here is a look at the hands-on work during a creative sunglasses shoot. This video shows me arranging the colored backdrops and products to get the composition and lighting perfect before taking the final shot.
About Behind the Scenes: The Making Of
Getting a clean levitation shot or a perfect product splash isn't about luck. It involves careful rigging with fishing lines, adjusting studio strobe lights, and precise camera alignment. When you hire me, you aren't just paying for the final image, but for the hours of trial and error I put in to ensure your product looks exactly as planned.
Many brands see the final image—a floating soda bottle or a sharp cosmetic shot—and assume it happened quickly. In reality, that single frame is the result of multiple adjustments. Whether it is a furniture isolation or a high-concept advertisement, my process remains consistent.
The Technical Side
- Levitation and Rigging: I use physical rigging with fishing lines, clamps, and acrylic rods to suspend objects. It creates that hero look that digital editing alone cannot replicate with the same realism.
- Lighting Control: I rely on professional Godox and Sony gear to maintain precise control. For skincare or food, I might use softboxes for shadow-free lighting. For dramatic ads, I switch to colored gels and high-contrast setups to make colors pop.
My Approach
My studio in Nashik is equipped for both small-scale e-commerce items and larger creative productions. I travel across Mumbai, Pune, and the rest of India, bringing the same level of care to every shoot. If your project involves liquids, dry ice, or specific textures, we start by testing the setup to ensure the final result meets your campaign's visual standards.
