About Twinning & Kids Corner
Twinning is all about comfort for the little ones and style for the moms. When I design for kids, I always use soft, skin-friendly fabrics like cotton or butter crepe lining because I know if they are not comfortable, the outfit is not a success. For the grown-ups, we coordinate the color palette and design elements to ensure you match perfectly without looking like a carbon copy.
Designing for kids is a different ball game entirely. It is not just about shrinking an adult design. Kids need room to play, run, and dance. Whether it is a heavy lehenga for a wedding or a breezy suit for Rakhi, I ensure the structural support, like the can-can or heavy embroidery, does not weigh them down.
The best part about matching sets is the freedom to customize. You can bring a reference image for your own outfit, and we can pull similar colors or fabric prints for your little one. I have handled requests for everything from matching mother-daughter sarees to coordinated sibling sets for Teej and Diwali.
I generally suggest booking at least two weeks in advance for twinning orders. This gives us enough time for sourcing the right fabrics, especially for those delicate kids-wear pieces, and conducting a trial to ensure the fit is perfect.
