About Featured

Before we begin any upcycling project, we conduct a fabric stress test on your heirloom saree to ensure the silk maintains structural integrity during reconstruction. Whether we are transforming a Kanjeevaram into a floor-length gown or re-engineering a Benarasi for a two-piece ensemble, we meticulously map motifs to preserve the original pallu while removing existing stains or weaknesses.

Our Design Philosophy

At Sacaru, we believe in the longevity of textiles. Our approach to slow fashion involves repurposing vintage silks like Kanjeevaram, Paithani, and tissue fabrics. Rather than letting heirlooms remain stored in trunks, we reimagine them as wearable art. This process requires a deep respect for the material and a commitment to preserving its original soul.

The Design Journey

Every project begins with a one-on-one consultation at our Ganganagar studio. We discuss your vision and assess the fabric's history to determine the best silhouette. We specialize in converting sarees into Anarkalis, maxi dresses, and modern co-ord sets that offer versatility and style.

Construction and Detailing

Our construction process is rigorous. We use premium linings like butter crepe and cotton silk to support delicate vintage weaves. For structured pieces, we apply hard-net fusing to create the necessary body for a polished finish. Every piece is completed with YKK invisible zippers, hand-made potli buttons, and careful internal overlocking. We pay special attention to embroidery, utilizing Zardosi and French knots to add contemporary flair to traditional motifs. Whether it is a corseted Indo-Western outfit or a reimagined saree dress, our focus remains on clean lines, durability, and honoring the fabric's heritage.
