Spreading Love Through Live Poetry & Public Events
My words aren't just for screens. Whether I am at a bustling event or a quiet park corner, I use my vintage typewriter to turn fleeting moments into permanent, tangible pieces of love.
This was an invitation to join me at Karnapex 2024, a postal event where I wrote poetry for visitors. I also encouraged people to write a letter to their future selves, a powerful act of self-love.
Part of my "Letter to Self" series for the Karnapex event. This one is an apology to myself for all the times I have doubted, shamed, and ridiculed my own being. It's a first step towards self-forgiveness.
The final part of my "Letter to Self" series. This is a thank you note to myself for being the best listener, for allowing me to feel lighter, calmer, and more at home in my own skin.
Another "Letter to Self" from the Karnapex series. This is a promise to love myself, to trust my inner voice, and to always remember to be kind and loving towards myself, especially when I forget.
An important reminder in my "Letter to Self" series. It's okay to not have a perfect day, to take breaks, and to not know who you are yet. This is a message of self-acceptance and patience.
About Spreading Love: Talks & Events
When I sit down at a community event or festival, I don't just type words. I listen. You tell me what weighs on your heart, or what makes you smile, and I transform that conversation into a personalized poem on my vintage typewriter, right there in front of you. It is raw, it is immediate, and it is entirely yours to take home.
Why I Write Live
Public events like Karnapex 2024 give me a chance to break the digital barrier. Watching someone read a poem I just typed for them, in real-time, is where the real magic happens. It is not a performance. It is a conversation.
What Happens at My Events
- Personalized Typewriter Poetry: I bring my vintage machine and write specifically for you. You share a feeling—a loss, a love, a memory—and I translate it into a poem.
- Letter to Self: Inspired by my work at postal events, this exercise is about writing a message to your future self. It is a powerful act of self-love that I guide participants through, helping them articulate things they often keep hidden.
- Workshops & Talks: I move beyond the typewriter to host sessions on self-expression. We talk about messy feelings, how to turn chaos into art, and why it is okay to not have it all figured out.
A Different Kind of Engagement
If you are looking for a speaker or a creative partner for an event, I don't do corporate. I do connection. Whether it is a literature festival, a private community gathering, or a specialized brand event, my goal is the same: to create a space where people feel safe enough to be vulnerable. It is not polished or perfectly framed. It is honest, messy, and real. If you want to add a touch of genuine emotion to your event, let us talk. XOXO, RN 💋
