When you book a traditional session, you do not need to worry about the finer details like saree draping or styling. I have arranged specific backdrops and props to match your outfit, so we can focus on getting those classic, comfortable poses right without you needing to manage the look yourself.
Our traditional maternity sessions are designed to honor cultural roots while creating portraits that look like timeless paintings. Whether you are aiming for a classic South Indian look or a more general traditional aesthetic, the focus remains on the bond between you and your partner.
What we cover in your session
- Styling Assistance: While you bring your own sarees, we assist with the look and ensure the draping and jewelry placement are optimized for photography angles.
- Posing Guidance: Pregnancy can sometimes feel awkward, especially in front of a camera. I provide direct, easy-to-follow instructions so you do not have to guess how to stand or hold your bump. We capture everything from formal couple portraits to candid, intimate interactions.
- Themed Backdrops: We use specific studio backgrounds, including our hand-painted landscape scenes that provide a rich, artistic depth to your photos, similar to classical art.
Preparing for your shoot
Our studio is based in Kodigehalli, Bangalore, where we control the lighting and environment to ensure a comfortable experience. Because these shoots often involve multiple outfits or setups, we typically schedule them to allow for breaks. If you have a specific heirloom saree or piece of jewelry you want to feature, please bring it along. We love incorporating personal items that tell your family's story. If you are also interested in modern or candid styles, we can easily blend those into your session as well.
