Wedding Party, Speeches & Dance Photography
Your reception is where the real stories come out. From emotional speeches to the wild dance floor, I capture the energy exactly as it happens.

About The Celebration: Party, Speeches & Dance
I don't just blast flash to freeze the dance floor. I use techniques to balance the venue's ambient lighting with the movement of the crowd, so you actually feel the energy of the party in the final photos. Whether it's the raw emotion during a best man speech or the chaos of the dance floor, my goal is to capture what it really felt like to be there.
Capturing a wedding reception or sangeet requires more than just good gear. You need a photographer who knows how to move through a crowd without being intrusive. I use a mix of ambient light and controlled off-camera flash to keep the vibe moody and natural, rather than making everything look like a flat, studio shoot.
During speeches, I focus on the faces of the speakers and the reactions of the couple. Those little glances and teary-eyed laughs are what make the story. On the dance floor, I am looking for the energy. I want to see the wild movements and the group hugs.
I am based in Mumbai, but I travel across India for destination weddings. My equipment includes Nikon Z6 bodies and fast prime lenses like the 85mm F1.8S, which are perfect for low-light receptions where you need to isolate subjects or capture sharp, clear faces from a distance.
If you are worried about low-light reception halls, I handle this by shooting wide open on fast lenses to pull in natural light while keeping the image clean. You might be planning a wedding in a palace or a city hotel, and I have experience working in diverse settings.
I offer full-day wedding coverage where I bring an associate to make sure we don't miss any group shots while I focus on the candid movements. My editing philosophy is simple: clean, natural skin tones with a bit of contrast for depth. I avoid heavy editing that hides who you really are.
Royd Tauro
Hi, I'm Royd. When I'm shooting your reception or sangeet, I'm not standing on the sidelines with a giant lens. I'm right in the middle of it, just another guest with a camera, capturing the speeches and the dance moves as they unfold. I want you to look back at these photos and feel that same buzz you felt that night.
