Maternity or Couple Portrait Session
Scope of Work
- Duration: 2 to 3 hours of continuous photography coverage.
- Location: 1 primary location within Mumbai limits (e.g., Horniman Circle, Bandra Fort). Entrance fees or studio rental charges are borne by the client.
- Outfits: Allows for up to 3 outfit changes.
Deliverables
- Images: 30 to 35 high-resolution edited JPEG images.
- Editing: Includes detailed skin correction (blemish removal), dodging and burning, and color grading.
- Gallery: Private online gallery for viewing and selection.
- Turnaround: 3 to 4 weeks.
Shooting Style
- Approach: Posed candid style where the photographer directs scenarios for natural expressions.
- Lighting: Uses natural light primarily, augmented by portable flash or reflectors.
- Equipment: Nikon Mirrorless (Z6) with Prime Lenses.
Exclusions
- Physical albums are not included.
- Unedited RAW files are not provided.
- Hair and makeup services must be arranged by the client.
In-Home Newborn and Family Session
Scope of Work
- Duration: Up to 4 hours coverage, allowing buffer time for feeding and settling the baby.
- Location: Lifestyle shoot at the client's home using natural window light.
- Subjects: Covers the newborn, parents, and siblings.
- Concepts: Mix of lifestyle shots and creative detail shots (macro details of hands/feet).
Deliverables
- Images: 40 to 45 high-resolution edited JPEG images.
- Retouching: Advanced correction for newborn skin issues like acne, flaking, or jaundice color correction.
- Style: Includes a selection of high-contrast Black & White edits.
Specifics
- Props: Minimalist approach using client's own blankets or simple textures. No elaborate fantasy costumes.
- Tech: Uses silent shutter mode to avoid disturbing the baby.
Exclusions
- Physical albums are not included.
- Themed costumes or elaborate props are not provided.
- Travel charges apply for locations outside standard Mumbai limits.

I’m Royd. When I shoot portraits, I’m not just clicking faces - I’m chasing those moments that feel real. Whether it’s a maternity glow, a family’s first week with a new baby, or two people just being themselves, I want your photos to feel like a piece of your story.
Sessions I Love Doing
- Maternity portraits that are elegant, sometimes with creative silhouettes or classic black and white portrait photography
- Newborn and lifestyle family portraits - think cuddles, tiny hands, and all the raw joy (and chaos) that comes with it
- Couple sessions focused on authentic couple photos - candid, romantic, nothing stiff or forced, maybe out in your favourite garden or that spot in the city you love
How I Work
I don’t do stiff poses. I’ll guide you, but the best shots happen when you forget the camera’s even there. I’m big on emotional storytelling photography - real smiles, real connections. You’ll see a lot of timeless black and white shots in my portfolio because I feel they strip things down to pure feeling.
Tech Meets Realness
I shoot with pro Nikon gear (mirrorless, mostly 35mm and 85mm lens). Editing is my thing - Lightroom, Photoshop, you name it - but I keep it real. No fake skin, just a polished look. If I see a random blemish, I’ll fix it - bas, that’s my standard. Your photos should look high-end but still feel like you.

Hey, I’m Royd. Photographer, board game geek, husband (finally!). Got married on 4.2.24 after ages, and man, it’s a trip living my own love story after shooting so many for others.
