Candid Wedding Photography That Feels Real
I don't do stiff poses or awkward commands. My job is to blend in and capture the laughter, the happy tears, and the quiet glances that make your story uniquely yours.
A warm, happy hug filled with genuine laughter. This is the kind of comfortable, easy love I aim to capture in my candid couple photography.

A quiet, intimate moment just after getting married. The couple leans in, foreheads together, soaking in the feeling of being husband and wife.

About Candid Moments: Unposed & Unfiltered
A lot of people ask me, 'Royd, how do you get these shots without telling us what to do?' The secret is simple: I anticipate the emotion before it happens. Whether it is a tight hug, a shared laugh, or a nervous glance, I am always positioned to catch it naturally. You get to just be yourself, and you never have to worry about looking like a statue or holding a fake smile for the lens.
My philosophy is rooted in documentary photography. I am not there to direct a movie; I am there to document your story. When you look back at your wedding album, I want you to remember how you felt in that exact moment, not the direction I gave you.
The 'Dodging and Burning' Difference
While the shots are raw and unposed, the final delivery is highly polished. I am a bit of a gear and technique geek—my signature is using a technique called 'dodging and burning' in post-production. It gives the images a professional, magazine-quality pop while ensuring the skin tones and textures remain real. No over-the-top filters, and definitely no awkward edits that make you look like a different person.
Beyond the Poses
Whether I am shooting in a Mumbai banquet hall or on a beach in Goa, I focus on the little things: the way your partner looks at you when you are distracted, the joy on your friends' faces, or the quiet intimacy of a first look.
I also strongly believe that good photography shouldn't have technical flaws. As I always tell my workshop students, delivering photos with skin imperfections is just not professional. My goal is to strike that balance: raw, emotional moments, delivered with a clean, expert finish.
