Modern Salon Interior Design: PHOENIXX Project
We turned a bare commercial shell into a premium, functional family salon in Thane. See how we used smart mezzanine planning and custom lighting to create this beauty destination.
This before and after reel shows the complete journey of the PHOENIXX salon. We built a metal-frame mezzanine to add a whole new floor, installed a modern false ceiling with track lights, and finished it with custom styling stations.
Here are the final results. We created dedicated zones for different services, including a professional hair wash area and a private room for facials. The custom backlit 'P' logo and stylish wallpaper create a strong brand identity from the moment you walk in.

About Salon Design: PHOENIXX The Family Salon
One of the biggest challenges with this project was space optimization. We built a structural MS mezzanine to effectively double the usable floor area, creating dedicated, private zones for facial services while keeping the main salon floor open and airy.
From Shell to Salon
Designing a salon isn't just about how it looks, it is about how it works. For PHOENIXX The Family Salon, the goal was to create a high-end experience within a standard commercial footprint. Because we were working with limited floor space, we opted for an MS mezzanine structure. This allowed us to separate the active styling stations on the ground floor from the quieter, private treatment rooms above.
Why This Layout Works
- Smart Zoning: By elevating the private rooms, we ensured the main floor remains clutter-free. Clients get privacy for services like facials, while the salon stays bright and welcoming for haircuts and treatments.
- Lighting Strategy: We moved away from standard lighting. We used a mix of warm cove lights to set a relaxed vibe and sharp profile lights at key focal points, including the custom backlit 'P' branding. This makes the space feel expensive without overspending on decor.
- Practical Finishes: In a high-traffic environment like a salon, maintenance is everything. We used vitrified tiles for easy cleaning and high-gloss laminates on the fixtures. The entire project was handled as a turnkey execution, meaning we managed the site work, the electrical looping, and the custom furniture fabrication from start to finish.
