The Wedding Percussion Difference
A standard playlist is one thing, but live percussion brings a kinetic energy that changes the room. My sangeet setup is designed to be a dual-role performance. I start with a premium, high-tension Punjabi Dhol, perfect for high-energy artist entries or hyping up family performances. Once the dance floor opens, I switch to my stationary LP Conga kit. This setup adds a Latin percussion layer that makes house, techno, or Bollywood dance tracks feel deeper and more rhythmic.
Practical Logistics for Your Event
When you book a sangeet package with me, you get more than just a performer. You get a sound plan. Here is what you need to know:
- The Setup: I bring the instruments, including the Dhol, Congas, Cymbals, and Wind Chimes.
- Technical Needs: For the Dhol to sound right while I move through the crowd, your venue audio team must provide a reliable wireless bodypack microphone. For the stationary Conga setup, I need three instrument microphones on stage.
- Sound Check: This is non-negotiable. I require a 30-minute sound check before your event starts to ensure the monitors are dialed in and the mix balances my live percussion against your DJ’s output.
