Denim Styling for Editorial and Commercial Shoots

When we style denim for a shoot, it is about more than just grabbing a pair of jeans. I focus on the texture and the way fabric catches light, especially when we are experimenting with deconstructed layers or specific moods. On set, I am the one managing the fabric movement and making sure every layer sits exactly right so the photographer captures the vision without needing extra edits.

My approach to a denim photoshoot starts with the story. For commercial and editorial projects, I manage the look from concept to completion. This includes:

• Wardrobe Sourcing: I procure the right cuts and washes, whether that means working with designer labels or sourcing specific vintage pieces.
• Creative Direction: I create style decks that outline the mood and lighting references, collaborating closely with your photographer to ensure the wardrobe enhances the frame.
• On-Set Management: My 8-hour shift includes full support. My team and I handle steaming, pinning, and making those minute adjustments to fabric movement that make the difference between a good photo and a great one.
