Candle Making Magic: Behind the Scenes at Rhuhee
Ever wonder how we turn simple soy wax into those dreamy candles? It is part science, part magic, and a whole lot of love from my Rhuhee girls. Grab a cup of chai and take a peek into our process.
I love the satisfying feeling of pouring wax and seeing a perfect candle emerge. Here’s a little peek at how I create some festive Christmas candles using gingerbread and tree molds. It’s a simple, relaxing process that always brings a smile to my face, and the whole house smells like gingerbread!
About From Wax to Magic: The Making Of
The beauty of soy wax is its clean burn, but getting that smooth finish takes a little practice. When we are pouring into molds, we watch the temperature like a hawk. If it is too hot, the wax pulls away from the sides, and if it is too cool, you get a lumpy surface. My DIY kit takes out the guesswork, so you can just enjoy the pouring part without the stress.
How We Get That Perfect Pour
When you see those satisfying videos of wax filling up a gingerbread or Christmas tree mold, it looks like a breeze. The truth? It is super relaxing once you get the hang of it, but there are definitely some tricks involved.
We always start by melting our soy wax chunks gently. High heat is the enemy here, guys! You want the wax to melt slowly so it retains its properties. Once it is liquid gold, we stir in the fragrance oil. This is the part where the magic happens and the room starts smelling delicious.
Why Our DIY Kit is Different
I built my DIY Candle Making Kit because I wanted you to experience this creative therapy at home. Whether you are doing it for some 'me time' or having a fun session with your girl gang, I have included:
- 250g Soy Wax: Pre-measured so you do not have to worry about ratios.
- 4 Shot Glasses: These are perfect for starting out. They are heat-safe and look super cute on a bedside table or mantle.
- Decorations: My kit comes with dried rose petals and pearls so you can add your own creative flair to the top.
Getting Creative at Home
Do not worry if you are a total beginner. Every box includes a step-by-step guide to melting, pouring, and setting. If you are in Delhi NCR, you can even drop by our studio in Okhla Phase II to see us in action or pick up your supplies. And remember, every candle you pour is unique. Don't stress if it is not perfect the first time—even my Rhuhee girls started with shaky hands!
