Behind the Scenes: Getting Ready Photography
The story of your wedding day starts long before the ceremony begins. I capture the quiet anticipation, the intricate details, and the final transformation into your bridal look.

About Behind the Scenes: Getting Ready
I usually arrive while hair and makeup are still in progress, so don't feel pressured to be fully camera-ready the moment I walk in. These raw, candid captures of your jewelry, chooda, and those final moments of reflection are often the photos that bring back the most vivid memories later.
Why This Matters
Many couples only think about the ceremony photos, but the getting-ready phase is where the real story unfolds. It is when the nerves, the excitement, and the anticipation are at their peak. I document the process as it happens, focusing on the small, meaningful details that otherwise get lost in the rush.
My Approach to Preparation Shoots
- Natural Atmosphere: I do not believe in stiff, overly posed shots during this time. I stay in the background, using natural light or subtle LED panels to capture authentic interactions between you, your family, and your makeup artist.
- Detail Oriented: I make sure to get close-ups of your lehenga, shoes, and jewelry while they are still being styled. These shots help tell the complete story of your look when you look back at your album.
- Flexible Timeline: I coordinate with your makeup artist to ensure I have enough space to move around without getting in their way. Whether we are in a hotel room in Delhi or at your home, I adapt to the lighting and space available to make sure we get those cinematic, high-quality images.
Making You Comfortable
My goal is to make my presence feel invisible. By the time the main ceremony starts, you will already be used to the camera, which helps you stay relaxed during the rituals. If you have specific shots you want, like a focus on your chooda or the way your jewelry is pinned, just let me know beforehand and I will ensure we prioritise those moments.
