The Bridal Story: Cinematic Wedding Portraits in Delhi
Every bride has a unique journey, from the quiet nerves of getting ready to her radiant entrance. I capture the emotions behind the jewelry and makeup, turning fleeting moments into timeless memories.
In the quiet moments before the ceremony, a bride's portrait is a story of anticipation. This low-light, artistic shot captures her grace and the intricate details of her attire.
A close up portrait of the bride, focusing on her stunning jewelry and flawless makeup. Every detail, from the emeralds to the winged eyeliner, is captured perfectly.
The true beauty of a bride lies in the eyes of the groom. This close up shot, with the red dupatta creating a soft frame, highlights her delicate features and bridal glow.
A bride's portrait is a story in itself. Here, I focused on capturing the gentle smile and the traditional elegance of Himani, moments before she walked towards her new beginning at Bel-La Monde Hotel.
A candid moment during the bride's getting ready session, as petals are showered on her. It captures the joy and blessings of the women around her.
A full-length portrait of the bride, Shreya, in her beautiful pastel lehenga at Mallu Farms. She stands with grace and poise, ready for her big day.
A candid shot of the bride, Divya, looking up with a hopeful smile. The lighting highlights her joy and the beautiful details of her red saree.
A candid, smiling portrait of the bride, Riya. The warm, side lighting creates a beautiful, intimate mood, capturing her genuine happiness.
A close up of the bride, Riya, looking down with a gentle smile. This shot focuses on her intricate nath and maang tikka, key elements of her bridal shringaar.
A stunning portrait of the bride, Sakshi, seated in her magnificent red lehenga. The dramatic lighting and rich colors make her look like royalty.
About The Bridal Story
I don't believe in stiff posing or harsh studio lights that take you out of the moment. My approach to bridal portraits relies on working with the natural mood of your venue—whether it is the warm, low-light glow of a hotel room during shringaar or the soft, directional light during an outdoor ceremony. We use portable LED setups that blend into the background so you stay comfortable while we catch those raw, unposed expressions that make a portrait feel like you.
How I Capture Your Bridal Story
For 30 years, I have watched trends come and go, but the quiet emotion of a bride getting ready has remained the constant heart of the wedding day. My goal is never to just photograph the lehenga or the jewelry; it is to photograph how you feel wearing them.
The Shringaar and Quiet Moments
Often, the most powerful images happen before the guests arrive. Whether it is a shared glance with your mother, the nervous excitement as the makeup artist applies the final touches, or the stillness before you head to the mandap, I am looking for these in-between frames. I use a mix of candid and guided portraiture to ensure you look natural, never forced.
Working with Your Venue
Whether you are getting married at a grand property like Bel-La Monde or a more intimate setting, I adapt my lighting style to the space. I prefer working with natural light whenever possible, but my team carries professional-grade portable LED panels to ensure we get sharp, clear shots even in dark banquet halls or low-light ceremony settings. We focus on the textures of your attire and the expressions in your eyes without turning your bridal room into a film set.
My Process
I prefer to shoot with a team of four to seven, depending on the scale of your event. This allows one person to focus entirely on the bride's solo shots while another captures the family dynamics around her. It keeps the energy flowing and ensures that we don't miss those split-second moments—a tear, a laugh, or a shy smile—that tell the real story of your day.
If you want photography that feels like a conversation rather than a photo session, let's talk about what matters most to you.
