From Lakme Fashion Week to high-fashion brand campaigns, I build sculptural updos and bold textures that stand out. Explore my runway and editorial hair concepts.

A showcase of my most experimental work for fashion editorials and runway shows. You'll see everything from large afros and twisted buns to sculptural styles incorporating flowers and even hair rollers for a quirky, high-fashion statement.

Capturing the fun and energy on the Lakme Fashion Week runway. For this model, I built a tall, structured updo with multiple buns, creating a playful and artistic silhouette that stood out on the catwalk.

A powerful shot from a péro brand lookbook, featuring a full, natural afro style. The goal was to embrace and enhance the model's natural hair texture to complement the vibrant, layered outfit.

This runway look for Lakme Fashion Week involved creating a structured, gravity-defying updo with floral accents. The hairstyle was designed to be both whimsical and architectural, matching the creative spirit of the collection.

A compilation of my work from a dynamic runway show. The hairstyles ranged from intricately braided updos and textured looks to more avant-garde creations, all designed to move beautifully as the models walked the ramp.

Backstage and on the ramp at a Blenders Pride Fashion Tour. I created a unique, sculptural hair roll on one side, accented with a golden flower, to complement the Indo-Western fusion wear.

Here is a behind the scenes look at my process during India Couture Week. It shows the final touches on a sleek, classic updo, ensuring the model is runway-ready for a major couture presentation.

This video highlights the futuristic and glamorous theme of the Blenders Pride Fashion NXT event. I created a variety of hairstyles, including sleek looks and playful double buns with gold accents, to match the "touch of gold" concept.

A group shot from a péro campaign, showcasing a variety of creative and unconventional hairstyles. I worked with each model to create a unique look, from intricate updos and styled hats to textured, free-flowing hair.

For this lookbook image, I played with quirky themes, styling one model with hair rollers as a finished look. The other styles include a sleek bob and a textured updo, showing a range of playful yet polished hairstyling.

About Runway & Avant-Garde

For fashion and runway projects, I operate on a shift-based model to ensure consistent results across multiple looks. I arrive with a full professional kit—including specific heat tools, hair fillers, and structural sprays—allowing me to execute everything from gravity-defying avant-garde updos to polished wet looks that remain intact under bright studio lights.

Runway hair requires a different level of precision compared to standard event styling. In this space, the hair is an extension of the designer's vision, often serving as an architectural element rather than just an accessory. Whether it is a full, natural afro for a brand lookbook or a sleek, structured roll for a couture presentation, my process starts by aligning the hair concept with the fabric, the lighting, and the model's movement on the ramp.

My Technical Approach

  • Structural Integrity: For complex sculptural shapes, I use hair fillers and specialized padding to ensure volume that does not collapse during long show days.
  • Prop Integration: I enjoy working with non-hair elements, including flowers, wire structures, and pearls, ensuring they are anchored securely so they stay in place during a high-energy runway walk.
  • Texture & Finish: I specialize in the 'wet look' and vintage finger waves, requiring precise gloss products and setting techniques that capture the light perfectly for high-definition photography.

Collaboration on Set

I understand that on a shoot, the timeline is tight. My workflow is built around efficiency—I offer 8-hour shift blocks for catalog or jewelry shoots, which covers multiple hair changes and continuous touch-ups to handle flyaways between frames. If you are working on a commercial campaign or an editorial lookbook, I coordinate directly with the photographer and makeup artist to make sure the hair placement compliments the camera angles and the overall aesthetic of the collection.
