About Kudremukha & Kurinjal Treks
These treks are not just a casual walk. When the monsoon hits the Western Ghats, the Kudremukha and Kurinjal trails turn into a raw, muddy, and misty challenge. You need a decent level of fitness and shoes with serious grip, but for us, that is the best part—the rain, the clouds, and the green hills make every drop of sweat worth it.
Kudremukha National Park is home to some of the most stunning Shola forests and grasslands in Karnataka. Whether you are aiming for the iconic Kudremukha peak or the slightly quieter, forest-rich Kurinjal trail, you are stepping into a landscape that feels like it belongs in another world.
Why trek with us
We run these expeditions as weekend getaways starting from Bangalore every Friday night. You do not need to worry about the logistics—we manage the Non-AC transport, the forest department entry permits, and the local homestay accommodation. We know that trekking in the monsoon requires a specific kind of preparation. Our trek leads are familiar with the terrain and the sudden weather shifts, ensuring you have a guide who knows how to handle the trails when they get slippery.
What to expect
- The Terrain: Expect mud, mist, and steep inclines. It is a genuine trek, not a sightseeing tour. Bring a solid pair of trekking shoes with good grip and a reliable raincoat.
- The Food: We provide Malnad-style meals. It is simple, hot, and fueling—exactly what you need after a long day of hiking.
- The Community: This is the heart of what we do. You will be traveling with a group of like-minded people. We have seen strangers become friends over shared plates of food and stories by the fire, which is the real magic of a weekend getaway.
We keep our group sizes manageable to ensure everyone gets enough attention on the trail. If you are ready to trade traffic for trails and city air for the scent of wet earth, join our next batch.
