About Peak Adventures & Scenic Treks
Expect muddy trails, steep inclines, and unpredictable monsoon weather. These treks are not just about reaching the summit, they are about navigating the terrain safely. I always ensure we have local guides for the tricky patches and provide support for gear like raincoats. You need to come prepared for the elements, but you can leave the logistics like transport and forest permits to me.
When you join a peak trek with me, we skip the polished hotels. You will stay in traditional Malnad homestays or nature camps, surrounded by areca plantations. It is about waking up to the sound of the forest, not an alarm clock. We focus on the Western Ghats, specifically places like Kudremukh, Netravathi, and Thadiyandamol.
My approach is simple: safety is prana mukhya (life is important). Whether it is a 4x4 jeep ride to the base or using life jackets during water crossings, I do not cut corners. The trail itself is often a mix of dense forest, open grassland, and slippery rocks. We keep group sizes manageable so that the vibe remains like a family outing rather than a forced tour. After a long day of trekking, we sit down for authentic home-cooked Malnad food like Neer Dosa or steaming hot rice sambar. It is messy, it is tiring, and it is entirely real. If you are looking for a luxury vacation, this is not it. If you are looking to disconnect and actually feel the mountain air, then you are in the right place.
Trekker's Adda
I have spent 15 years living in the forests and chasing trails across the Western Ghats. I started organizing trips in 2016 because I wanted to share the peace I find in the wild. When you join my group, you are not a client, you are part of the Adda family.
