About Western Ghats Treks: Kodachadri, Kudremukh & Netravathi

Our Western Ghats treks involve a Friday night departure from Bangalore, returning by Monday morning, so be prepared for a bit of travel. We organize accommodation in shared homestays or camping tents, meaning you will be bunking with fellow trekkers. Remember that forest entry permits are often handled on-site, so it helps to keep some cash handy for these specific fees.

Trekking the Western Ghats

We focus on taking you deep into the Western Ghats, away from the typical tourist trails. Whether you are aiming for the iconic horse-face peak of Kudremukh, the ancient temple-top views of Kodachadri, or the cloud-kissed ridges of Netravathi, our treks are designed to get you out of the city and into the wild.

What You Get

We strip away the planning stress. Your package includes round-trip transport from Bangalore in a Tempo Traveller or mini-bus, shared accommodation in homestays or tents, and meals. We also provide a Trip Captain who manages the logistics, guides the group, and keeps the energy high.

The Tripbae Vibe

Most people arrive solo, but the goal of our trips is to make sure you don't stay that way. The bus ride is where the community building starts, and by the time we return on Monday, you’ll likely have a new group of friends and a few stories to take back to the office. We keep it simple: pack your bag, show up, and let us handle the rest.

Practical Details

  • Fitness: These treks range from moderate to challenging. Come prepared to walk through dense forests and climb steep grassy ridges.
  • Permits: Please note that forest permits are mandatory. We advise booking at least 15 days in advance so we can ensure your spot is secured within the forest department guidelines.
  • Weather: If you are joining during the monsoon, expect rain and mud. It adds to the experience, but make sure your gear is waterproof.

Tripbae

Office at RR Nagar, BengaluruStarts from 2,800 per person

We started Tripbae back in 2018 with a single sunrise trek because we just wanted to help people get out of the city and see the mountains. We handle all the logistics like transport and permits, so you just have to show up. By the time we head back, most people end up leaving with a bus full of new friends.
