I don’t just decorate; I build worlds. By blending local crafts, traditional motifs, and your heritage, I transform venues into authentic cultural experiences that feel like home.

For this event in Kashmir, I designed a beautiful pink arched structure that perfectly framed the majestic mountain range in the background. The natural beauty of the location became an integral part of the decor.

This video captures the essence of the 'Kashmiri Karnival'. It showcases the stunning mountain views, the vibrant decor with hanging flowers, and the various stalls featuring local handicrafts like wicker baskets.

A closer look at the Kashmiri decor, featuring thousands of hanging pink carnations that seem to float in the air. The video also shows a decorative shikara boat nestled among a sea of pink flowers.

A pretty corner from the Kashmiri event, featuring pink lanterns, blue glass vases, and purple candles set against a traditional patterned wallpaper. These details added pops of color and local flavor.

A tablescape reflecting the essence of Kashmir. The decor includes pink hydrangeas and roses, wooden beads, and hand-painted boxes, creating a rich and culturally inspired setting.

Another angle of the Kashmiri table decor, showing the beautiful pink floral arrangements in a rustic wooden vase, set against the soft pink seating.

About Regional & Cultural Themes

For this Kashmiri-themed setup, the real magic was in how I framed the existing mountain range. I used a custom-built arched structure that did not block the view but acted as a natural window, letting the landscape itself become the primary backdrop for the celebration. It is this balance between constructed decor and the natural environment that makes a cultural theme feel authentic rather than staged.

When I design for a specific region or culture, my goal is to transport your guests rather than just place props in a room. Whether it is a Kashmiri carnival, a Punjabi Mela, or a Rajasthani palace theme, the process begins by identifying the elements that define the soul of that place.

The Art of Cultural Immersion

It starts with the small, authentic details that you might find in a local home. In our Kashmiri setups, this means incorporating elements like hand-painted papier-mâché boxes, traditional wicker baskets (kangris), and miniature shikara boat motifs. These aren't just filler items; they are anchors that give the venue its narrative.

Architectural Integration

I prioritize working with the venue's natural architecture. If we are doing a mountain theme, we pull in the color palette of the local flora—soft pinks, deep greens, and wood tones—to ensure the decor flows into the scenery instead of fighting against it. For indoor cultural themes, I rely on fabric masking and customized backdrops to fully hide the modern venue walls, creating a clean slate for our thematic storytelling.

Why Details Matter

My team handles the sourcing of these cultural props to ensure they feel genuine. We look for textures that match the region: think raw fabrics, traditional weaves, and warm, ambient lighting that mimics the feel of a local evening. By mixing these specific textures with high-density floral arrangements—using hydrangeas, roses, and carnations—we create a space that feels lived-in and welcoming rather than just set up for an event.

If you have a specific heritage or cultural vision in mind, tell me about it. We can work together to map out how to bring those traditional roots into a modern event setting without losing the original charm.

I approach every project with a simple question: how can we honor these traditions without making it feel like a museum? My team and I pour our energy into the smallest details, from hand-painted local boxes to the specific shade of drapes, ensuring your heritage is celebrated, not just staged.
