Design That Thinks: Smart Home Automation & Interiors
I design spaces where technology fades into the background. Whether it is fingerprint-protected cabinets or automated curtains that follow your mood, my focus is on making your daily routine effortless.
My clients love how simple their home theater is to use. With one click, the projector screen comes down, the curtains shut, and the lights dim. I focus on making technology convenient and seamless, so you can actually enjoy it.
Automated curtains are a touch of everyday luxury. I love layering sheer and blackout curtains on an automated system, so you can have soft morning light or complete privacy with just a tap on your phone or a voice command.
This home bar is as secure as it is stunning. I designed it with a fingerprint-protected lock, so it remains a sophisticated and private feature. It’s a perfect blend of modern technology and timeless style for entertaining.
I love making life easier for my clients with smart home features. In this office, I installed automated curtains that can be controlled with a simple tap on a phone, allowing for the perfect amount of natural light throughout the workday.
Automation is magic at your fingertips. In this office, you can turn lights on and off across the room without leaving your seat. It's all about creating a workspace that is smarter, more convenient, and perfectly tailored to your needs.
Lighting has the power to completely change the mood of a space. With an automated system, you can switch between different lighting scenes, from bright and functional to warm and relaxing, all with the touch of a button.
Tech-integrated design is one of the top trends for 2025. I'm always exploring new ways to incorporate smart features, like this automated blind, to make homes more comfortable, efficient, and ready for the future.
About Design That Thinks
When I integrate automation, I do not just add gadgets—I look for where your daily frustration lies. If you are tired of manually managing heavy curtains, or if your home theater feels too complex to start, that is where we begin. I prefer reliable, user-friendly setups where a single app or voice command actually works, rather than tech that just looks fancy but sits unused.
Automation is often sold as a high-end luxury, but in my eyes, it is a problem-solving tool. I have seen too many clients stop using their home theater because the system was too complex to operate. That is why when I design a smart space, I focus on the interface first. If you cannot operate your lights, AC, and projector with a single button press or a quick voice command, the technology has failed you.
Practical Smart Solutions
- Automated Curtains: I typically layer sheer and blackout curtains. This allows you to manage light and privacy without walking across the room—perfect for large apartments where natural light can be overwhelming.
- Secure Storage: I often design bar units or cabinets with fingerprint-protected locks. It keeps things secure yet accessible, blending high-tech security with elegant joinery.
- Atmospheric Lighting: Lighting is the fastest way to change a room's mood. By setting up scene-based automation, you can switch from 'work mode' to 'relax mode' instantly, rather than fumbling with multiple switches.
The Reality of Installation
Do not expect a clean, zero-noise installation. Retrofitting automation into an existing home involves wiring, dust, and careful planning. I handle the backend chaos—the cabling, the integration, and the syncing—so you just get the final result. Whether you are in a high-rise in South Mumbai or a villa in the suburbs, the goal is always the same: a home that anticipates your needs, not one that adds more work to your day.
