I look at properties not just for their beauty, but for their logistics: power backups, accessibility, and strict sound curfews that can make or break an event.
Venue scouting in Bangalore is tricky. You fall in love with a lush green lawn at a property in Yelahanka, but then realize it is an hour and a half from the city center for your guests. Or you want an open-air stage at a heritage property in JP Nagar, but forget about the rainy season unpredictability. My job is to bridge that gap. I have spent years working at standalone venues like The Tamarind Tree and Amita Rasa, and I know exactly where the power points are, where the lighting trusses fit, and how to manage the acoustics.
Here are a few things to consider:
- Access: Is there space for large transport vehicles to turn around without creating a traffic jam?
- Sound: Some residential-area venues have tight noise curfews after 10 PM. I know which ones let us push the party later.
